The Program

Rendu is more than just somewhere to live. Guys at Rendu are assigned a Case Worker who will help them plan their next steps towards their future and assist them in getting any support they need.

As well as a weekly Case Work meeting the Rendu Program involves coming to the Rendu Office 3 days a week for various activities. Our Program Development Worker, through the “Get up and Go individual session” will help if you are interested in getting training or doing or a course or help you work out what job is right job for you and help you get it.

Once somebody is working regularly or going to school or college they usually do not have to come to the office for these activities.

  • Personal use of the Rendu computers
  • Recreation and interesting and fun activities

Skills, Talents, Hobbies, Interests

Have you always wanted to make your own movie, record your own music, build your own mountain bike, become a Chess master or learn how to draw or paint? Rendu is equipped to help you to do any or all of these things and lots more.

We have a fully equipped film and sound recording studio and staff who can help you to learn how to use it, high quality still cameras, an art studio, computers, musical instruments and a workshop and tools.

Abstinence and Recovery

In becoming part of the Rendu Program a person agrees to not take non prescribed drugs, drink alcohol or gamble for the time they are living in the Rendu House.

This is so they will not be distracted by these things and fall back into old patterns while they are trying to go in a new direction with their life.

All residents are expected to be working on remaining abstinent in the program and dealing with their issues with drugs, alcohol and gambling, either by attending NA, AA or GA meetings or undertaking some other recognised recovery program such as cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), SMART Recovery, working with a therapist etc.

Rendu carries out random Breath and Urine testing.
